I once heard a preacher say that you have to make room for a miracle. As long as you choose to live within the safe walls that you are in control of you don`t need a miracle. If you want a miracle, position yourself to receive one. Psalm 112 talks about living in God`s blessing but the pre-requisite is obedience.

In recent days, Open Door ministries has positioned itself for a miracle. We have now filled The Gates of Hope and have only one bed remaining for an emergency case. The police have been bringing girls who have been abused and raped and babies that have been abandoned. We have a 14 year old girl now that has a 3 year old child of her own. Our most recent 14 year old girl was forced to live with a 60 year old man as his wife. When she contracted his venereal disease, he wanted to make her drink a poison as an act of witchcraft.

Each face comes full of pain and needing unconditional love and yet each carrying terrors from their past. Not one have we been able to turn away with a clear conscience and I have questioned over and over, what would Jesus have done. Why am I questioning you may ask? You see from a business stand point we can`t afford to keep the kids we already have, why take in more? But acting on the love that Christ has put in us and following the principles He laid out in His word, we believe that God brought each of these precious lives to us for a purpose.

We are praying everyday for the miracle of the loaves and fishes over the food in the house. If God could feed 5,000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish , He can do it again. He wants us to gather the natural and He will do the super-natural.

Our monthly givings have been averaging $3000 below budget and now we have added 8 more to the house. We desire to open the second house that is sitting empty right but we will need some one time gifts to buy the beds and appliances and table for the house and some individuals or churches to help sponsor the children.

Estimated cost to supply the house is $4000. The cost is $350 per month to sponsor an individual child. If God prompts you to give, I will encourage you to be obedient and live in His blessings so that others can learn of His blessings.
